Follow super sleuth Cass Ryan as she unlocks the mysteries of how nutritional intake of the home care and hospice patient contributes to many aspects of their physical condition – from affecting many chronic diseases, wound healing, response to certain therapies, and overall well-being. A Registered Dietitian is not always available to complete a nutritional assessment, therefore the Registered Nurse needs to be aware of what it takes to be a Nutrition Detective.

Cass Ryan, RD, LD, PhD is currently Adjunct Instructor in Nutrition at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. Ms. Ryan received her BS from State University College at Buffalo, her MS at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and her PhD from Texas Tech University. She has over 30 years experience in clinical nutrition. She has been the Director of Dietetic Education at Central Arizona College, Assistant Professor at Baylor University, a Clinical Dietitian at two hospitals in the Kansas City area and held several other teaching positions at universities. Cass is a member of the American Dietetic Association and is a Fellow in the American College of Nutrition.
