CAHSAH is pleased to report that the Department of Health Care Services has updated the Medi-Cal rates as of January 15, 2019 to include the 50% rate increase for the Medi-Cal EPSDT codes. The new EPSDT rates match the rates approved by CMS in SPA 18-037. Please note, as of January 1, 2019, the EPSDT “Z” codes were officially changed to new codes (“S”, “T”, “G”, etc.). The home health rate increase for adult Medi-Cal patients is not active currently. CAHSAH does not have an expected timeframe for the adult update; however, we are hopeful the increase will be implemented in early 2019. We will continue to work with the Department and provide updates when we gain more information about the adult Medi-Cal codes for home health services.
