CMS Finalizes Rules For Medicare Shared Savings Program

CMS has posted the final regulation updating the Medicare Shared Savings Program. The proposed regulation includes potential program changes of interest to home-based care providers, including a waiver of the homebound status requirement for beneficiaries in certain ACOs. At this time, CMS has chosen to not finalize that proposal. The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) is in the process of analyzing the final rule and will share its analysis and other relevant information as it becomes available.
