MLN released two new articles on PDGM on their website last week. MLN SE 19027 Overview of the Patient Driven Groupings Model is specifically for physicians who order home health services. The article includes eligibility criteria for Medicare home health services as well as some information on certification in addition to PDGM. The section titled “The Importance of Diagnosis Reporting and Physician Documentation Under the PDGM” goes into more detail about the information physicians will need to provide to home health agencies. MLN SE 19028 Payments and Payment Adjustments under the Patient Driven Groupings Modelprovides a more detailed overall description of the key components of the PDGM. This article is intended more so for home health agencies and goes into greater detail. This is a good summary overview of the PDGM.
