CMS Trims List of Possible Medicare Quality Measures

On Thursday, CMS released a list of 32 reporting measures under consideration for Medicare’s quality reporting and value based purchasing programs.  This is much smaller number then last year when they recommended almost 100 measures.  “The move is in line CMS Administrator Seema Verma’s focus on reducing regulatory burden for providers. CMS publishes a list each year of quality and cost measures to consider and works with National Quality Forum to get input from patients, commercial payers and purchasers and clinicians.
