CMS Waives New Tests for Home Health and Hospice

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced new Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) waived tests in the recently released Transmittal 10048/Change Request (CR) 11747.

Home health and hospice agencies operating under a CLIA waiver can perform these new waived tests.

Many of the new tests are related to rapid response drug screenings.
