NAHC along with PQHH has issued letters to CMS administrator Seema Verma dated 9.1.17. In these letters both organizations advocate and outline why the proposed HHGM model needs to be withdrawn. The industry as a whole will need more time to absorb the impact and walk through the cross-walk. It has been stated that the proposed rule is likely to have an adverse selection affect based upon numerous factors especially is if the elimination of therapy services becomes part of the final rule, ultimately leading to the loss of access and care for home health patients.
