To be truly successful in representing the home health and hospice industry, NAHC knows it takes an army of advocates to be heard.
Because of this message that advocacy is critical NAHC included it as one of their mail goals in its finalized strategic plan. NAHC will continue to be the leading voice for all aspects of home care and hospice in Washington, D.C., but they are looking to increase our voice across the nation. To achieve this, they plan to develop an army of advocates who relay the value of the home care and hospice industry in their communities and to their government officials. As support for this goal, they are launching an advocacy series in the NAHC Report that will run weekly leading up to the November mid-term elections. An example of some of the topics they will cover:
- Ways to get involved
- Tools to be effective
- Legislative and regulatory issues relevant to home health and hospice
