NAHC and Partners Launch Survey to Gauge Interest in Palliative Care Training and Certification

Posted on Friday, February 22, 2019 10:39 PM

NAHC, the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) have developed a brief survey for home health and hospice providers to gauge the degree of interest in pursuing palliative specialty training and/or certification in hospice and palliative care for their nursing staff.

Palliative care is a team-based approach to providing pain and symptom management to patients with terminal illness.  Nurses in this area require specialized training in areas such as advanced care planning, pain and symptom management and family education and care coordination.
