Under contract with CMS, the TMF® Health Quality Institute (TMF) has released the new Hospice PEPPER (version Q4FY14) summarizing statistics for fiscal years 2012, 2013, and 2014. It is available through the PEPPER Resources Portal and includes four new target areas which have been added in response to the recently-released OIG report that identified concerns with hospice services provided to beneficiaries residing in an assisted living facility (ALF). The new PEPPER summarizes statistics for these six target areas:
- Live discharges
- Long length of Stay
- Continuous home care in assisted living facility
- Routine home care in assisted living facility
- Routine home care in nursing facility
- Routine home care in skilled nursing facility
