Public Health Emergency Guide for LTC, Home Health & Hospice Providers

During a stakeholder meeting, the CDC was able to recognize issues that LTC, Home Health and Hospice providers face during a public health emergency, and discussed the guide to help them address these issues. The Planning Guide identifies the following topic areas: situational awareness, continuity of operations, facility or agency operations, and crisis standards of care, staffing, and fatality management. The topics are integrated from FEMA documents to prepare for emergencies and natural disasters. Also, each section describes the facility or agency’s public health emergency response plan.
