The New Hospice PEPPER Report Expands Target Areas for Live Discharge, Diagnoses, and Care Levels

TMF Health Quality Institute has issued a hospice-specific PEPPER to assist providers with areas relative to improper payments. The “target areas” for which data has been made available have been modified and expanded. TMF will release a new Hospice PEPPER in April 2016. The Hospice PEPPER report includes the following target areas: live discharges – revocations, live discharges with length of stay between 61 and 179 days, claims with a single diagnosis coded and no general inpatient care or continuous home care.
