How ‘Workforce Sharing’ Could Help Fill Gaps in Home Care

Home-based care providers may want to work together to keep up with the demand for services, instead of competing with each other.

“We were challenged before the pandemic and we’ve certainly been challenged through the pandemic,” Home Helpers President and CEO Emma Dickison said last week at Home Health Care News’ FUTURE event. “Supply and demand is out of balance. It’s one of the biggest challenges facing our industry and we’re trying various ways to solve it.”   Home Care Pulse and the Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) released aa recent study that showed that over 80% of home care offices are turning down clients because of lack of caregivers.

If home-based care organizations joined forces, it could help solve the issue.
