The U.S. House Energy & Commerce Hearing on Long-Term Care Financing & Delivery

The U.S. House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee gathered for a hearing called “Examining the Financing and Delivery of Long-Term Care in the U.S.” NAHC addressed their concern on enacting a high quality home- and community-based long-term care program. With the aging of the baby boom population and the increase of new technologies for the disabled population to live longer, the lack of long-term home- and community-based care will result in the following issues: premature or unnecessary institutionalization, damage to the family unit, and reduction of family resources.
