Val J. Halamandaris, president of NAHC, announced that Jim Comer will be one of the speakers at the 2016 NAHC Annual Meeting. This conference will be held October 23-26 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Comer has 25 years of public speaking experience. In the past, he was an actor in New York and authored best-selling books. His background lies in consulting, leadership and management for several Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, he has also coached CEOs for public speaking and wrote jokes for comedians like Joan Rivers and Bob Hope.

When Comer’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and his mother had a stroke, he quit his corporate job and moved to Texas to take care of them. During the 14 years Comer spent as a caregiver, he decided to write When Roles Reverse: A Guide to Parenting Your Parents, which was nominated as the best non-fiction book for 2007.

Recently, Comer addressed home care and hospice providers, providing advice on issues that involve taking care of aging parents.

The following reviews are examples of how Comer has impacted his audiences:
• “Inspirational, informative, and humorous” are words recently used to describe him by Crystal, a Texas home health nurse
• “Dynamic and amazing. One of the best speakers I have ever heard!” according to Marilyn, a home health nurse from Arizona
• “Experiencing Jim Comer is like mixing a rock concert with an extraordinary lecture,” said Darwin, a chaplain with a San Antonio hospice. “His ability to entertain while educating and empowering is amazing.”

Corridor will be there at booth 1033. If you’d like to connect with a Corridor representative at this conference, email us at Keppley@corridorgroup.com.
