CMS is giving the public the opportunity to comment on two home health agencies initiatives related to the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act on 2014 (IMPACT Act).
1.Transfer of Health Information and Care Preferences CMS requests interested parties to submit comments on two draft measure specifications:
- Medication Profile Transferred to Provider
- Medication Profile Transferred to Patient

- The Outcome and Assessment Information Set, known as OASIS, is being modified to include changes pursuant to the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act of 2014 (the IMPACT Act). In addition to several new assessment items, CMS removed 33 data items to reduce burden and to accommodate additional assessment items that will likely be incorporated into the OASIS data set over the next few years in accord with the IMPACT Act.
Comments on the revise OASIS assessment instrument are due May 11, 2018.
