May 17, 2017 the National Government Services (NGS) informed Part A Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) home health care providers of an issue that is causing overpayments. MSP home health final and LUPA claims are being overpaid. Claims received after 4/2/2018 and paid after 4/27/2018 are paying without consideration of the primary payment and obligated to accept as payment in full (OTAF) amounts.
The Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) is aware of the issue and is working on correcting it.
