Care Dimensions, a Massachusetts based hospice and palliative care provider, has launched a Learning Institute to allow patients, physicians and families to learn about what hospice and palliative are all about.
“The goal of the institute is to educate and enrich and empower. We talk to health care professionals and consumers on how to respond to the evolving needs of the seriously ill patients and their families,” Lyn Skarmeas, vice president for provider relations at Care Dimensions, told Hospice News.
Far too few people know what hospice and palliative care entail, or that these services are available to them. This website was designed to increase knowledge and hopefully increase the number of patients who use these services.
