The older American population mainly consists of people who want to age in place, therefore the number of caregivers will rapidly increase, along with a huge opportunity for technology to take off.
According to a recent report from AARP, Caregivers & Technology: What They Want and Need, the report supports that 71% of caregivers want to use technology to benefit their duties and assist the older people. Technology has benefits that caregivers need when assisting the seniors with ADL.
“To succeed in this area, innovators will need their technologies to communicate a high level of credibility in the platform and the available service providers, as well as build an adequate screening process into the user experience,” AARP advised innovators.
