The coronavirus continues to ravage the country, seniors who rely on home-based care are at the risk of losing their caregivers. In order to combat this, agencies are coming up with creative ways to keep their employees. This is especially true since the COVID-19 unemployment benefits could allow these essential workers to make more money staying home.
Agencies are trying innovative and thoughtful ideas to help their home health care givers to stay working. Some agencies are providing bonuses to salaried employees and an increase in hourly rates for non-salaried employees. Other companies are providing deliveries of essential groceries or providing meals before shifts making sure their employees feel appreciated.
