The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the quality assurance guidelines for the CAHPS hospice survey and has made some training materials available. Information and links to the materials are below.
- The CAHPS Hospice Survey Quality Assurance Guidelines Version 7.0 is now available here. Other than miscellaneous and general overview updates, the updates clarify that a hospice should provide a primary and secondary (backup) CAHPS Hospice Survey contact person to their CAHPS Hospice Survey approved survey vendor.
- There are training materials available here for the September 2020 Introduction to CAHPS Hospice Survey training.
