CMS posted Change Request 9459 with edits made to the Integrated Outpatient Code Editor. The edits introduce the “G” codes used for hospice and home health agencies for RN and LPN visits, along with “visits at the end of life.” The NQF and CMS are reviewing and developing a course of action (see January 8, 2016 NAHC Report). The “G” codes will assist the following:
- Future hospice claims
- Measure hospice referrals
- Generate new codes
