CMS recently released the final hospice payment rule for fiscal year 2016 (FY2016). The rule will be published in the Federal Register on August 6, 2015. Click here to see it. The impact of the final rule is an estimated net increase in federal Medicare payments to hospices of $160 million. Hospice base payments under Medicare will increase an average of 1.1 percent over FY2015.
