The Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ), part of CMS will host a Special Open Door Forum (ODF) to allow hospices and other interested parties to ask questions on the development of a Hospice Assessment Tool. The purpose of a hospice assessment tool is to develop a tool that enables CMS and hospices to understand the care needs of people through the dying process and to ensure the safety and comfort of individuals enrolled in hospice institutions nationwide. The ODF will provide a status update and welcomes your questions.
