Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) 2.0 or Advance BPCI is expected to be announced by CMS in the near future. BPCI is intended to align providers as they coordinate a single episode of care and is comprised of four care models that link payments for multiple services.
The model 2 bundle ties the total cost of care per episode reconciled against a target price determined by CMS. Payments are made to reflect the performance compared to the target price.
