CMS released the final rule for the home health care prospective payment system (PPS) 2018. It did not include HHGM.
“We are not finalizing the implementation of the Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM) in this final rule,” the rule reads. “We received a number of comments from the public that we would like to take into further action.”
“As an industry, we are pleased that CMS has recognized the value that we bring and has chosen to defer implementation of the proposed HHGM and work with us to find a better solution. Thank you to everyone who made your voice heard. Corridor will continue to work in partnership with CMS, providers and all industry associations to bring solutions that can contain cost and bring greater value to agencies and ultimately their patients”, said Mary Morrisey-Gabriel, Vice President of Marketing & Innovation, at Corridor.
