CMS made a change for the 2017 Aggregate Cap reporting (and supply any calculated overpayment) in terms of fiscal year. Starting this year, they aligned themselves with the federal fiscal year for the first time. “This means that hospices may calculate and submit their aggregate Cap liability for 2017 no sooner than December 31, 2017, and must report it (as well as pay any calculated overpayment) by the end of February (February 28, 2018).”
The end of the year is fast approaching, make sure you mark your calendars! “Following is a link to CMS’ EIDM Webpage. If you find that a representative of your hospice does NOT have access to the EIDM system, you may need to register for a user ID and password. Registration involves a provider verification process that includes submission of supporting documentation. For all issues in accessing EIDM or PS&R reports, please contact the EIDM helpdesk at 866-484-8049.”
