The following three Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) updates have been published online by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS):
CORMAC Messages:
CORMAC, a contractor with CMS, sends informational messages to Hospices on the HQRP on a quarterly basis. If you need to add or change the email addresses to which these messages are sent, please email QRPHelp@cormac-corp.com. Be sure to include your facility name and CMS Certification Number (CCN) along with any requested email updates.
RCAHPS Hospice Survey Data Submission Deadline is Approaching:
The data submission deadline for patients that passed away in April to June 2018 is November 14, 2018. Survey vendors are responsible for successfully submitting files by 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Please make sure to allow adequate time to submit data in case resubmissions are necessary.
Should you encounter any data submission issues, please contact the CAHPS Hospice Survey Data Coordination Team at cahpshospicetechsupport@rand.org.
In addition, hospices must have a CAHPS Hospice Survey Vendor Authorization Form on file with the RAND Corporation in order for the survey vendor to submit data on behalf of the hospice. Contact the CAHPS Hospice Survey Project Team (hospicecahpssurvey@HCQIS.org) immediately if your organization has not already submitted the CAHPS Hospice Survey Vendor Authorization Form.
CAHPS Hospice Survey Materials Submission Deadline:
CAHPS Hospice Survey vendors approved to administer the CAHPS Hospice Survey are required to submit samples of their CAHPS Hospice Survey materials, in English, that will be used beginning with survey administration for January 2019 decedents, for review. CAHPS Hospice Survey mailing materials (e.g., questionnaires, cover letters and outgoing envelopes) and/or telephone script and interviewer CATI screenshots (including skip pattern logic) must be submitted to the CAHPS Hospice Survey Project Team via hospicecahpssurvey@HCQIS.org by November 2, 2018.
