Last month, CMS issued a temporary reprieve in rolling out the proposed HHGM with the Final Rule for 2018. However, CMS was very clear that it was only a temporary delay so they could review all 1300 comments which they received. As a result, our industry has come together to develop a unified approach to HHGM. This approach is a combination of work done by National Association for Homecare and Hospice (NAHC), Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare (PQHH), Elevating Home, Council of State Home Care Associations. This letter demonstrates how our industry can be a critical part of the dialogue impacting important industry changes and the development of a reasonable HHGM approach to assist CMS in achieving its goals.
