During NAHC’s March on Washington, senior staff leadership of the influential Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) met with the members of the Forum of State Associations and the National Medicaid Action Council.
MACPAC leadership discussed the following topics:
• Their research into long term services and supports (LTSS) and home and community based services (HCBS)
• The notable growth trends in LTSS and HCBS
Kristal Vardaman, MSPH, a MACPAC Principal Analyst, spoke about the importance of moving away from institutional care. Also, she shared statistics and the Commission’s research plans for future study.
