MedPAC met on January 14, 2016 to finalize the annual March Report to Congress on Medicare payment policy. The commission studied the following issues:
- Examined payment adequacy
- Observed care utilization, quality of care and provider access to capital
- Reviewed financial margins
MedPAC explored issues related to hospice payment adequacy in depth, which was covered in the December 2015 NAHC Report here. MedPAC recommended that Congress disregard updates for both home health and hospice for the 2017 payment year. For the full article, click here.
