A new study shows that millennials are becoming nurses at almost twice the rate of baby boomers. With a shortage in nurses and baby boomers headed to retirement, it’s important these positions get filled.
The study examined data on more than 429,500 RNs and used both the Current Population Survey and American Community Survey of the Census Bureau. It showed that the number of RN’s between 21-34 years of age almost doubled from 440,000 in 2000 to 834,000 in 2015.
