NAHC Submitted Final Remarks on Revisions to the Discharge Planning Requirements

NAHC proposed final remarks on the rule for the Revisions to Requirements for Discharge Planning for Hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, and HHA.

The rule was issued to apply the IMPACT Act through discharge. CMS was required to modify the CoPs with a guideline for providers to uphold account quality, resource use, and other measures in the discharge planning. CMS outlined mandatory details for the discharge planning process and extensive elements for a discharge/transfer summary.
