NAHC Works with CMS to Get Regulatory Relief in Puerto Rico

Posted on Thursday, November 9, 2017 7:28 PM

NAHC wrote a letter to Seema Verma, Administrator of CMS, seeking regulatory relief for home health organizations in Puerto Rico. NAHC requested that CMS further delay the implementation of the HHCoPs for an additional six months (July 13, 2018), for providers affected by Hurricane Maria. Puerto Rico experienced mass devastation and many are still without electricity, running water, etc., making it impossible to implement the new CoP requirements.
NAHC will update all of us on the progress of this request.
