The National Quality Forum released a plan last week to review standardized performance measures which the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is considering for use in 16 federal health programs.  This plan includes items which affect both, home health and hospice.  The annual review by the Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) affects 55 million Americans  who are enrolled in Medicare, as well as their healthcare providers.  The measures under construction include the six which can impact the home health quality reporting program (HH QRP), with four of these being required by the IMPACT Act.  Additional measures can impact the hospice quality reporting program (HQRP), as well as oncology patients who are receiving hospice care. You can find a pdf list of the measures here.  The full article regarding the reviews can be found here.
