A new tool has been introduced for agencies to use that collects real-time data relevant to CMS’ pre-claim review demonstration.
The tool provides the following:
• One portion of the tool seeks baseline information
• The second portion seeks data after the pre-claim review begins
• An examination of the demonstration’s impact on agencies and patients
Data gathered “will help strengthen advocacy efforts to rescind, delay or replace” the demonstration.
Agencies in Texas, Florida, Michigan and Massachusetts may want to use the tool in advance of the upcoming demonstration in those states, according to the association.
The tool was created by the Illinois HomeCare & Hospice Council and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice / Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association.
