Study Tracks Home Care Growth By Miles Traveled Each Year

The Foundation for Hospice and Homecare and the NAHC presented a study, December 16, 2015 with findings that home care and hospice nurses, therapists and aids travel over 8 billion miles each year to serve their patients. The press conference captured remarks from a room full of experts. Vice President for Law at NAHC, William A. Dombi, stated that home care and hospice nurses traveled 7.88 billion miles in 2013 to provide service to the chronically ill, elderly and disable patients.
